All right;
If you just got named Mayor, what would be the three biggest issues you'd like to tackle - and what would you do about them?
Let me know - it's your chance to (potentially) shape a small part of policy down the road, and you'll give me a chance to back up my arguments by telling detractors that "this IS what people want, and I can prove it!"

1) Build the city. Make it better. -Build parks, -Update aging infrastructure, -build bike lanes - it's nearly impossible to bike safely across the city. Try riding to Scarborough without fear for your life on those roads. -Build attractions. Why should people come to Toronto, if there hasn't been development in years. Only recently has progress happened, after years of cuts during the Harris/Lastman years. Keep improving.
2) Build the TTC. Make it better. I don't mind paying for it, because that's the only way to do it. But do it properly. Make it accessible and consistent.
3) Fiscal accountability at city hall. I've just said about building the city, and I know that costs money. But we've got to invest. I understand if we've got to do it slowly, but we should still always be building. Spending has picked up under Miller, but that's after years of cuts from Harris/Lastman. We're just now catching up to where we should have been 10 years ago. City leadership should want to make things better, not just plan on cutting because that's the trend of the day.
