Councillors are supposed to listen, which is an idea that gets a lot of lip service - but not much "ear service".
My position; I MUST listen, or how else am I going to know what's important to you?
Please take a few minutes and tell me what you think about ANYTHING; councillors' outbursts or outsourcing, tax rates or the TTC....
Whatever you worry about - OR think we're doing well - I need to hear that so I can hit the ground running - KNOWING what you guys think.

Hey Mark, To me a number one concern is the ENVIRONMENT. Yesterday, here in Hamilton, We had our first smog alert.. Thats sad.. Its only March, and reached 12 or 13 degrees. What was it like in Toronto.. 10 times worst? Our smog days should only be in the summer! I would love to see lots of tree planting inniciatives, where the public is involved. I would like to see a pilot program where residents call a number, and city members will show up to your house and plant a tree on your lawn or backyard.

Hi Hy! Sorry, I missed this one.
You know, we're not too bad in Toronto. Our smog days are very low (and we can thank the fact that we don't have a lot of heavy industry - we let you guys keep Dofasco, etc.)
However, if it can be done in a financially responsible way, you bet I'd be on board for more green space.
For example, I'm closely monitoring the growth and development of the portlands; besides the fact that they're in my ward, both the economic and environmental policies that we put in place over the next 4 years will determine whether that space is a pretty breath of fresh air for Toronto - or another half-crocked underused polluted quagmire.
Say THAT ten times fast.
